I came across this application on facebook today and it gives you little things God wants you to know. So here was mine for today
On this day of your life, Angela, we believe God wants you to know ... that your task is not to seek for love, but to seek and melt all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.
God loves you with the very air you breath, the very light that touches your skin, the very ground that supports you. Love is everywhere, - melt your barriers, and you will have love in abundance
So with that said I really just sat and thought about it....And it may not be what God is truly saying but it really spoke to me, and it's more importantly right.
I don't need to seek for love I need to let the walls I have spent so long building up crumble. But if I do then I am vulnerable, and that is one scary thing.
Time and time again it has been proven and still to this day I will be hurt. But I guess that's where I learn to just let those who love me really love me and those who want to hurt me to just to let them go.
I need to learn to validate that I am worth it, that I matter and more importantly that I deserve it.

Oh Dear Angela...
ReplyDeleteI have walked your path. Sad, but true. Your post really touched me just now and I will share this with you...at 57, having lived the same thing as you I will say that you are stronger than you think you are. It shows in the way you share about it...and yes, when the time for tearing down the walls comes, you will feel vulnerable, unguarded and unsafe but let me share that that is when your trust of yourself and the relationship you have with your Creator will allow you to shine, shine so brightly that those who live in the shadows of themselves won't recognize you as you are...they will see the power and strength emanating from you and they will do one of two things...they will want what you have and seek it out for themselves or they will leave you alone. There are sooo many more good people in the world than there are bad...trust your instincts and intuition and follow your heart...I have the distinct impression you are going to help many people through your sharing of your story...I'm still sharing all these years later. :) I won't lie, it's painful at times, but watching another woman get it, or a child get it, and yes, even men get it, is worth the walk in the storm. It's always darkest before the dawn.
Let Your Light Shine! I'll cheer you on!
In Divine Love...
